July Membership Meeting to Feature Special Guest Ted Evgeniadis

Science continually teaches us more about how to minimize our impacts on the intricately balanced relationships within and around our waterways.

Join us at our July 25th General Membership Meeting where we will hear from Ted Evgeniadis, one of the Susquehanna River’s hardest-working stewards. He will discuss his multi-faceted role with LSRA, as a RIVERKEEPER® and its Executive Director. There are many different issues affecting the health of our river; and each one takes its own form of research, monitoring and pollution patrols in attempts to improve its health. Educating the public, and partnerships with other concerned clean water organizations, help greatly with this process.

Ted works as an alliance builder, diplomat, and educator for this nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the ecological health of the Lower Susquehanna River Watershed and the Chesapeake Bay. When the situation arises, he is an unrelenting defender and advocate of the peoples’ and river’s right to be healthy and prosperous. He also assists the government by reporting non-compliance of the law, and helps other environmental protection agencies follow through on their projects.

This program starts at 7:00 PM, with socializing beginning at 6:30 PM. The Community Club’s bar and grill will be open before and during the meeting.

Note: the main entrance to Fort Indiantown Gap, coming from the Route 934 exit off I-81, is now grated. To avoid this, head north/turn left at the Snitz Creek Brewery/Funk’s Restaurant.
