Bill Nolan’s topic will feature flyfishing the Lehigh River including hatches, best times, drift boat and wading opportunities. Bill is the owner and head guide of PA Troutfitters and a pro staff member for Douglas Fly Rods.
A 2019 graduate of the Sweetwater Travel Guide School in Montana and 2019 graduate of the Wolf School of Fly Fishing, Bill has been a fishing enthusiast since childhood. On a trip to Salmon River, NY Bill discovered fly fishing.
He is a member of the Donegal Chapter of TU and also the head of the DTU Veterans Service Partnership. Today he calls the banks of the Lehigh River his home and leads drift boat and walk and wade trips in the Lehigh Valley and Poconos.
We will be conducting a bucket raffle for a dozen classic fly fishing books that have been generously donated by Rick and Gail Kepner. Also, if you are the winner of an auction item and have indicated a preference to pick up your item in person at our meeting, check in with Bob Pennell to obtain your prize.
Meeting will be held at Ft. Indiantown Gap Military Reservation, at the Arrowhead Lounge. Please bring your photo ID so that you can gain entrance at the security gate to enter the Gap military base. You should also show this online posting so that you can prove your intention for entering the base.
