January Membership Meeting To Feature Special Guest Rick Nyles

Our next General Membership Chapter Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at the Community Club at Fort Indiantown Gap, beginning at 7:00 pm. This program will feature a presentation by Rick Nyles, owner of Sky Blue Outfitters Guide Service in Fleetwood, PA.

Rick’s presentation will highlight fly fishing in Idaho and Montana, from Henry Fork’s River, through various trout fishing favorites, to the Missouri River. Rick has been hosting trips to Montana for 14 years.

Fly fishing for over 45 years, Rick started guiding in 1999. He is an accomplished fly tier who is known for his CDC patterns and his simple approach to fly tying and fishing techniques. He placed 3rd in the ORVIS fly-tying contest by entering his unique Green Drake pattern. He also developed his own wing material called UP DN TROUT.

For those of you who have not joined us at the Community Club at Fort Indiantown Gap, please be assured that this is an excellent meeting location. We are in a large private room adjacent to the bar and grill, so many of our attendees arrive early for burgers, beer, and conversation before the program begins at 7:00 p.m.

Due to recent FIG entry policy and procedural changes we are asked to adhere to the following procedures:

  • If you have a military ID or a recently vetted PA Driver’s License show the ID to the Gate Security Officer for entry.
  • If you do not have the above take a copy of this invitation (either paper or phone image) and present it with a photo ID to the Gate Security Officer for entry.
  • If you forget the invitation show the Gate Security Officer your photo ID and inform the Gate Officer that you are attending the Doc Fritchey Chapter Membership Meeting.

The Gate Security Officer will have a copy of this invitation and has been informed of our meeting to expedite the new entry procedures.

Friends and non-members are invited to attend!

To access the Community Club for our meetings, take exit 85B north on Rt. 934 (Fisher Road) from I-81 to the main gate. After checking in at the security station with your driver’s license or other photo ID, the road winds around to a traffic light where you take a right and continue north on Fisher Road.
