The 2019 Dr. Francis J. Viozzi Memorial Scholarship for Environmental Studies was awarded to Erin Krieger, a young woman who graduated from Northern Lebanon High School and plans to attend the University of Wyoming to major in environmental studies.
Erin’s goal is to follow a career in conservation advocacy. In high school, she was involved in Future Farmers of America, the Ecology and Environment Club, Greenway Outdoors, and Serenity Farm. She has already taken an environmental studies class at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) and is serving this summer as a National Parks volunteer for invasive species control.
The Francis J. Viozzi Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a high school senior who has demonstrated a passion for pursuing a career in the environmental field and is named in honor of the late Dr. Frank Viozzi who served as president of the Doc Fritchey Chapter from 2003 through 2010.
