As part of the annual Lebanon County United Way’s Day of Caring, seven Doc Fritchey members showed up to clean up an impressive “mess of downed trees” on the Quittapahilla Creek in Quittie Creek Nature Park.
Joined by an adjacent landowner, Jim Rauch, Joe Connor, Rick Wasserman, Stephan Vegoe, Gary Zelensky, Greg Silva, and Trip McGarvey spent three hours in the water, with Jim Rauch operating the chainsaw, and removed all of an accumulated debris pile and a large, heavy tree that was blocking the main channel.
