Diversion Well Workday Scheduled for September 27th

Our quarterly print newsletter that just went out lists the annual workday on the Chapter’s Diversion Wells as Saturday, September 26, 2020. That date is no longer correct.

After we set the date and sent the newsletter to the printer, we learned that Saturday is the opening day of Youth Squirrel hunting. So – since Pennsylvanians still don’t hunt on Sunday afternoons – we changed the date of the annual workday on the Chapter’s Rausch Creek Diversion Wells to Sunday afternoon, September 27th, starting at 1:00 PM.

If you’re a regular Diversion Well volunteer, you’ll be notified separately by Dennis Coffman of details for this workday. For those of you who have an interest in helping, volunteers will meet for this annual maintenance work at 1:00 PM at the State Game Lands #211 gate to the west of Gold Mine Road.

Want to help?

If you’re interested in helping, please contact Dennis Coffman at 717-350-8817 or email him at dcoffman@dftu.org to let him know you want to help. Dennis will give you details on what you will need to bring in the way of tools and equipment.
