DFTU Testifies on the Waters of Pennsylvania

On October 21st, I had the honor of representing both the Pennsylvania Council of Trout Unlimited and Doc Fritchey Chapter of Trout Unlimited as part of two panels testifying before the House Democratic Policy Committee Hearing.  Representatives from DEP, DCNR, Chesapeake Bay Commission, Susquehanna River Basin Commission, PA Fish and Boat Commission, PennFuture and Duquesne University were on the panel. The focus of the testimony was the “Waters of Pennsylvania.”

My testimony focused on the work of our 49 chapters of Trout Unlimited in Pennsylvania and the work that our Doc Fritchey chapter is doing in our two-county footprint.  I used this occasion to emphasize the importance of restoring funding to Environmental Stewardship Funds and Growing Greener. I think it is important for everyone who believes in the important work Trout Unlimited does, to speak out to our legislators how critical this is.
