On Tuesday, June 22, 2021, the Doc Fritchey chapter will offer a webinar entitled “S.M.A.R.T. Angler Program” by special guest speaker Jamie SanFilippo.
Jamie is the owner and guide of American Fly Fishing Company and president of the Spring Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited (Bellefonte/State College area). She is an accomplished fly fishing guide, having taken courses as a college student at Penn State under Joe Humphries and then spending years learning the waters of central Pennsylvania. Jamie subscribes to the S.M.A.R.T. system of fly fishing and will explain this concept in detail during her presentation on June 22. Jamie is also quickly becoming the face of women’s flyfishing and will describe how women can become more involved in shaping our sport and participating in coldwater conservation.
This presentation isn’t “for women only,” but will instead focus on improving our flyfishing skills and on fishing the fabled waters in the State College area.
